An Unfortunate Stay - A Reflection on Unmet ExpectationsDuring a recent visit, my experience at this establishment left much to be desired. Arriving late at night, I faced an unwelcoming situation: the door remained locked despite prior arrangements for my check-in. After waiting fruitlessly and trying to make contact, I was forced to spend the night outside, which felt both uncomfortable and unsafe. The property itself appeared to lack basic safeguards, raising concerns about its suitability. While the 'land lady' was kind enough to remain awake for my late arrival, it couldn't redeem the overall experience. On a brighter note, the small café across the street offered decent food and coffee for breakfast. In terms of amenities, while they provided tea and coffee facilities, including an electric kettle, and a flat-screen TV for entertainment, these aspects did little to compensate for the lack of basic hospitality and security. This experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this establishment without significant improvements to their service and safety standards.
